Cuba delivered Canadian's third straight lost

　　JINCHENG, China - Early in the game, it appeared that the Canadian team had a chance to get their first victory in this four-nation tournament. In this third day of the tournament, fatigue might have been a factor causing the bad passes and miss shots experienced by both teams in the first half. The game was close in the first two periods, Cuba were only leading 17-16 at the end of the first quarter and 29-26 at the half.

　　Cuba was able to extend their lead by successive 3-point field goals in the third period. In their effort to prevent a third straight lost, Team Canada rallied to play more intensely in the last quarter. Cuba, however, was unyielding and held on to a 69-56 win.
