China routed Canada again in second encounter

　　JIYUAN, Henan Province - Team China palyed without their injured guard Maio Lijie but they still controlled the game. They opened the game with a 9-0 run, which inlcuded layups by Chen Xiaoli and Bian Lan. Team Canada got few chances to make good shots and trailed 5-19 at the end of the first period.

　　In the second quarter, China tested playing with young players from the bench. The substitutuion players made many errors and China only scored 6 points in the quarter. However, Canada could not take advantage of the opportunity as they themselves only got 9 points in the period.

　　The first team of Team China came back on the court after half-time. Song Xaioyun, Ren Lei, and Bian Lan took turns to make 3-point shots, and Center Chen Nan caused much trouble under the Canadian basket. 4 Canandian players had 4 fouls in the game. At the end of the third quarter, China enjoyed the biggest lead, 51-23, in the game.

　　Coach Maher gave his bench players playing time again in the last period. The final score is China 65, Canada 41. China will play Latvia in the final game of the tournament.
