　　Team China beat Latvia to complete clean sweep

　　JIYUAN, Henan Province - In front of more than 6,000 supporters in the stadium tonight, Team China defeated Latvia to achieve a perfect 5-0 in the four-nation tournament.

　　Although Latvia lost by 21 points to China in their last encounter 3 days ago, Latvia gave China a tough challenge in this final game. Points scored by the two teams were very close throughout the game.

　　Good passing under the Latvian basket by the Chinese players helped Center Chen Nan scoring and also drawing fouls from the Lativan players. China led 18-13 at the end of the first quarter.

　　Making three 3-point field goals in the second period, Latvia led 36-33 at the half. And although Anete Jekabsone-Zogota fouled out early in the second half, Latvia did not let China take any advantage. China was only able to lead by 55-53 with a last second field goal by Chen Xiaoli at the end of the third quarter.

Team China clinched the win when they seized the opportunity of a Latvian turnover near the end of the game to make it a 2-point basket by Chen Nan. Chen finished the game with 19 points and 9 rebounds, and China won the game 67-62.
